Schools should include bulimia, anorexia prevention class
On Dec. 16, 2016, my letter to the editor got published. On June 6, I decided to finally read the comments and I realized my message was received incorrectly.
I was trying to speak for those who don’t speak by saying that there should be some kind of prevention class for bulimia and anorexia, just like there is a prevention class for teen pregnancies.
It is something that plagues teens and can be prevented if parents help their kids or if we are taught that it can seriously hurt you in the long run. It cannot be put above bullying, but it should be a priority. Because whether you like it or not the children are the future.
