Proud to have served in the Air Force during Korean War
“Thank you for your service.” I hear this phrase a lot when I wear my Korean War veterans hat. People come up to me and say all kinds of wonderful things.
I enlisted in the Air Force when I was 18 years old, and I completed my term of enlistment.
In 1950, when the Korean War broke out, I was recalled for 23 months of active duty and sent to Korea. I have never regretted this time spent with the Air Force. I’m proud knowing in some way I am and was a part of those who defend this wonderful country.
I therefore say to all of you thank you for your kind words and thoughts.
