Comey holds mature sense of honesty
Since the 2016 U.S. presidential election, the name of former FBI Director James Comey has become synonymous with words such as untrustworthy, incompetent, grandstander, showboat, etc.
This is far from the truth.
Comey is disliked by so many Republicans and Democrats because he does not have any kind of skin in the game for either Republicans or Democrats. As the former FBI Director, Comey was commissioned to always remain independent and nonpartisan, letting only the facts speak. It is difficult for us to remain objective and unbiased; we always have our secret agendas.
Comey’s lifelong pursuit of justice, integrity and honesty has made him enemies in the political world, yet his possession of a mature sense of honesty permits him to be at peace with his conscience.
Recently, acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe related to the Senate Intelligence Committee that he has the utmost respect for Comey and held him in the most “absolute highest regard.” Mr. McCabe continued that it was his greatest “privilege and honor” to work with Comey. Comey the incompetent grandstander and showboat? I don’t think so.
