Two Donald Trump supporter/voter characteristics, poor and uneducated, correlate with the candidate’s false persona: anger. As father-figure race conscious of only what they were looking at, they thought President Obama was giving away money to non-white people and thus, an angry, white candidate was their next best bet in the White House.

The emotional appeal of their candidate, the thoughtless identity attraction, will bite those voters with his massive budget cuts hurting the poor. Maybe they are really originally angry at themselves for not improving their own lot with education and training. However, if the tax cuts help anyone, it is the rich, as planned by the Republicans who are their servants.

Nothing could be more true than the May 25 Bee editorial’s one line: “it provides the president with an opportunity to demonstrate to fat-cat donors and his base that he is trying to make good on his campaign promises.” As deluded as they are, will his base even realize that they will at many later dates be hurting because they voted for the man and the party that made their many governmental safety nets disappear?
