Keith Foster was an officer who tarnished the badge – lock him up

Bill McEwen wrote an excellent commentary re: Keith Foster on the front page of the May 26 newspaper.

I am in agreement with Mr. McEwen that Mr. Foster tarnished the badge, broke the law that he was sworn to uphold, and let down the taxpaying citizens of Fresno. It is unfortunate that the jury was not able to convict him of all charges. But my gut tells me Mr. Foster will not serve 20 years for the first offense or four years for the second offense. But one can only hope.

Mr. Foster will probably serve whatever time he gets in a federal prison outside of California. I doubt he will have his prison garments tailored made like the suits he wore while working for the Fresno Police Department. Maybe there is some poetic justice in some of this.
