Honest debate requires listening to all sides
“A house divided against itself cannot stand,” Abraham Lincoln said. Now this once united nation is crumbling and both sides are to blame.
With the national debt at $20 trillion and our young people testing the waters of socialism, we need to come together to save future generations from our greed and their ignorance.
The root of our division is based on where we get our information. Whether you get it from Fox News or MSNBC, you are hearing the spin their targeted viewers want to hear. If you only listen to one side of an argument you have not heard the argument. We need to stop demonizing others because they don’t agree with us. There are wonderful, caring people on both sides and we need diverse opinion to keep the wheels of freedom rolling.
A good marriage is built on compromise and so should a good democracy. The best compromises are built on facts, not opinions, so when you gather these facts make sure you check for accuracy and throw out the spin.
We must save the greatest nation that has ever existed.
