Check vehicles for safety

The April 22 Bee article, “Dinuba driver killed when wheel breaks free, smashes windshield,” recounts a freak accident by a wheel that came off another vehicle, hit a man’s windshield and then he died.

Many states, like Texas, require safety checks on vehicles every year. That is something that could have prevented this and other accidents. Still, drivers should check their vehicles that the wheels are on tight, and the vehicle is in good working order.
