Castro shows spine in Twitter controversy
It is a felony to threaten the president of the United States. Lars Maischak, who teaches at Fresno State, affirmatively tweeted his advocacy of the hanging of the president “the sooner and the higher, the better.”
Fresno State President Joseph Castro courageously recognized the safety concerns manifested by Mr. Maischak’s tweet and contacted the FBI, Homeland Security and the Secret Service. Castro demonstrated a spine that few college administrators have exhibited over the past 40 years.
