California selectively ignores the feds
It is interesting the way that the government of California recognizes federal law. It has changed or ignored federal law on marijuana and illegal immigration to meet the way California government wants it to be.
The Confederate States of American also thought the states were supreme over the federal government. This was one of the causes of the Civil War.
