Brown hits new low with gas tax hike
Gov. Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown sunk to a new low by buying votes for his gas tax at taxpayers’ expense.
He claims it would only cost us $10 a month; I can’t imagine how he came up with that figure. I guess he doesn’t count the increased cost of food and everything else we buy. Surely he doesn’t expect all the businesses involved in providing us everything from food to golf balls to absorb the added costs?
And what about us farmers? We don’t have the luxury of raising the prices of our crops – we get what the market values them at.
It’s one more nail in the coffin for the average Californian and for the farming industry. I suspect this added tax revenue will go to his bullet train from hell and to offset all the unfunded liability he’s been kicking down the road all these years.
Is it a coincidence it was recently announced that teacher pensions couldn’t be met and money would have to be pulled from somewhere?
