Prides and promises do not a nation make
I read David Paul’s letter to the editor, “I am extremely proud of our president,” (March 28) and found that I disagree with much of what he says.
He suggests that bias from the media is affecting the opinions of people, and I agree with this, but he claims that there is only hate from one side of the media and not the other. Within his own letter, he uses biased language and attacks the left-wing liberal media, exposing his own hypocrisy.
Mr. Paul bases his pride in President Trump on the claim that he is true to his word and has pride in the nation, but promises and pride will not keep a nation together.
It is not unique for an American president to have pride in our nation. In addition, promises are unimportant if people do not believe in the effectiveness of those promises.
