Something stinks on state equalization board

I couldn’t help but wonder what Valley leaders are thinking when they are proposing another fuel-tax increase. California already has the highest fuel taxes in the country. Maybe they thought that we’d be fine with another increase because our roads are crap. Those leaders don’t have to be concerned about prices because most of them carry taxpayer-paid fuel cards.

Then, I read on The Bee’s Opinion page about a big “thumbs down” to the state Board of Equalization for squandering millions of taxpayer dollars on garbage public-relations programs intended to get them re-elected to future offices.

Something stinks here, and it’s not gasoline. Somebody needs to jerk their respective chains.
