I bumped into his car. But instead of being mad, this gentleman was a breath of fresh air.

Manchester Center The Fresno Bee file

I am enrolled in an exercise class at Fresno Adult School. The location is a large room at Manchester Center. Last week I parked in a different spot than usual. Backing out, I hit a parked car.

Luckily, the driver, coming for another adult school class, was with his vehicle. I grabbed from my glove compartment those items pertinent to an auto accident such as proof of insurance and registration. The motorist pointed out that the damage was minimal, that a small patch of paint was removed. This good citizen would not accept data from me, not even my phone number.

In these contentious, divisive, adversarial times, this gentleman was a breath of fresh air. I value and thank him for his thoughtfulness, generosity and kindheartedness.
