Nunes plays games with people’s health care
I wonder how Congressman Devin Nunes would feel if the folks in his district played political games with his life and health care.
I practiced medicine in Tennessee for 11 years before moving to California. Many patients I saw in the hospital were uninsured. Therefore, I saw them in the hospital after suffering devastating heart attacks that left them disabled.
I hope Nunes has a crisis of conscience and abandons his efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act. I urge all Fresno and Tulare County residents to pick up the phone and ask the congressman why he voted “yes” to take away or compromise your health insurance.
As a physician, I would challenge him to explain the consequences of untreated or poorly treated diabetes or hypertension. I would like an explanation regarding why he voted to eliminate cancer screening for thousands of women. He should stop playing with people’s lives and be a servant of the people.
I challenge the congressman to give up his health care insurance if he insists on taking away the health care of his own constituents.
