No need for safe harbors for immigrants

There is no need for safe harbors for illegal immigrants who are unwilling to go through the process of legalization. The process is straight forward and requires that certain steps be taken which have been the same for many years.

I find it very distasteful to continually hear about the need for sanctuary status. This is against all those who have gone through the process. Moreover, the sanctuary effort is driven by those who have nothing better to do than spend their time making headlines given to them by the press and a group of people that do not want to comply with the basic law.

When lawlessness rules, there will be consequences. We are witnessing them now. I support the process of immigration for those that truly want to become citizens. For the others, good luck and safe travels … elsewhere.

James Williams, Clovis
