The boundaries of parental consent

A proposal to reaffirm Fresno Unified School District policy on dealing with students and families with immigration irregularities and potential for deportation, likely to be passed by the board on March 8, includes a refusal to release students to ICE agents without parental consent.

Interestingly, the district routinely releases students to go to Planned Parenthood without parental consent, the school day providing a convenient cover for such appointments.
