Valentines for Veterans project expresses thanks from grateful community
Feb. 14 was “Valentines for Veterans” at the Fresno Veterans Affairs hospital. Many wonderfully crafted valentines were collected by the Central Valley American Red Cross Service to Armed Forces from local schools and many other Valley residents who just wanted to say “thank you for your service” to our local veterans and active duty service men and women.
“Valentines for Veterans” brought many smiles to many veterans and a few dozen active duty personnel as well. We also included specific valentines for caregivers accompanying veterans that day.
Many veterans commented that it made their day to know that their community is grateful year round for their service to our country. Thank you to all those who donated valentines for veterans.
