Collision ahead: Trump vs. facts and law
After only a few weeks, it is clear that the president and his administration feel no constraint by precedent, the Constitution or accepted morality.
They believe that they can manufacture “facts” and these become reality and the basis for action. Something must break – either the administration’s belief in the omnipotence of their divine wisdom, or the country’s belief that we are a republic ruled by law.
History will tell.
