Electoral College has roots in slavery: dump it and Trump, too
In his letter published on Jan. 6, Chuck Brough correctly explains that the Electoral College was intended to protect states’ rights.
Unfortunately, one of the principal rights of concern was that of owning slaves. This archaic feature of our elections deserves the scrap heap, as does the candidate most of us don’t like but we got stuck with.
