John Glenn was a real American hero
I bid a fond farewell to Sen. John Glenn, former astronaut and genuine American hero.
Recalling the exemplary character and innate goodness of this man, I cannot help but reflect on how much brighter our country’s future would be if we had someone of his caliber assuming the presidency Jan. 20. The difference between this humble and courageous man and the person who will soon become president could not be greater.
Sen. Glenn was a principled, dignified and honest man who inspired respect and served as a true role model for our youth. Sadly, the same cannot be said about our president-elect.
Godspeed, Sen. Glenn, and thank you for having graced our American landscape and lifted our spirits.
