Trump threats stress students
Does Jeff Davis (letter Nov. 28) really not understand why some students at Fresno State need grief counseling?
It’s not because the election didn’t go the way they wanted. It’s because, if they’re Mexican, they’ve been insulted and threatened with deportation. If they’re Muslim, they’ve been insulted and told they would be put on a list. Many non-whites, the LGBT community, and various others who don’t appeal to our president-elect, are afraid because of disparaging or threatening remarks that he has made.
I, too, am afraid – not just because our multi-ethnic nation is under attack from within, but because the probable environmental policies of the new administration would endanger our national parks and the animals living there, as well as the climate of the whole planet.
Maybe Mr. Davis should send me a teddy bear.
