Teach kids material, not your morals

David Roberts (letter Nov. 25) has missed the point of why he is hired to be a substitute teacher. It is to cover the curriculum and teach the lesson plan left by the classroom teacher.

A teacher, whether permanent or substitute, should never attempt to impose his values, moral or political, on the students. His job is to teach the material he is hired to teach.
