EECU donation helped save historic Old Administration Building at Fresno City College
While attending the inaugural Armenian Cultural Conservatory dinner (Oct. 29) at Fresno City College, I was not aware of the vast financial donation given by the local Educational Employees Credit Union to save the Old Administration Building on the campus.
This historic preservation would not be a reality today without such a generous financial assist. In fact, many attendees at the dinner also indicated they were not aware of the financial help of EECU.
Thanks to EECU, Mabelle Selland, Dona Larsen and the many dedicated committee members were able to salvage this historic building after nearly 40 years of neglect. It was in this building in the ’50s, when it was the Fresno State campus, that I took many classes, including learning to study all of Shakespeare’s 36 plays under Dr. Biella.
