Make nice with Trump? We have irreconcilable differences
I was one of Hillary Clinton’s quiet supporters. You seldom know what we are thinking because we are too polite to say. The campaign process by its very nature highlights the differences between candidates. This one being an especially divisive election. I admit that I am grieving.
When Donald Trump claims he wants to bring us together, as a nation, and to be a president for all Americans, I believe, based on his past behavior, that he means that only for the ones who will fall into line with his way of thinking. That I cannot do. Our differences are irreconcilable.
Policy differences aside, the way he treats people and what he says to people who disagree with him is something I cannot tolerate. It is bullying of the most common sort.
For that I will not be silent and promise I will speak out against and defend against it in every instance.
I still believe love trumps hate. Even if Hillary Clinton could not.
