Fresno will be good to Syrians
There are 100 people from Syria migrating to Fresno and many more could be coming soon. Fresno is a good location for them to come to because there is already an active Arab-American community. There are even some students from Syria enrolled in Fresno Unified schools.
Syria has been in a civil war since March, 2011. In the past five years, over 220,000 people have died. There are people dying there at this very moment, yet we still don’t do everything we can to stop the war. Many men, women and children have been murdered in the most horrible ways only because they wanted democracy from their oppressive president, Bashar al-Assad.
People in America don’t know what it is like to live in a world like that. We should be doing everything we can to save innocent lives. Everyone deserves to live a life of their choosing.
