Send Judge Kimberly Gaab packing for Chavez ruling

Blatant arrogance is a hard character flaw to hide, and the $350,000 price tag ponied up by taxpayers to cover the cost of the courts shameless attempt to railroad Probation Chief Rick Chavez into retirement is again shining the bright light of public scrutiny directly into the eyes of Judge Kimberly Gaab and some of her cronies.

The audacity of the court to claim it was legally exempt from revealing how much of our money they spent in their misguided effort is an affront to everyone in the community. And you have to wonder if the cost of engaging in this type of business was ever even a consideration.

Kudos to Fresno County Supervisor Buddy Mendes for once again stepping up and publicly refuting the court’s indefensible position. Character should count for a lot, and when her honor comes up for election, I hope she will be unceremoniously sent packing back to the private sector.
