100-year-old Selma’s police station needs update
Modern policing needs a modern facility. Measure P in Selma, which is recommended by The Bee, will provide improved protection for our community by providing our officers with a state-of-the-art facility and the most up-to-date policing technology.
Our city is aging, many of its main infrastructure components were put in place by the generation of our grandparents. Our current police station building is 100 years old with asbestos in its ceiling and too small to properly house the current police force. It’s vital to our communities quality of life that we maintain and replace our infrastructure. Doing so is key to the city’s ability to promote economic growth, and provide the services to the residents of Selma it deserves.
We have an opportunity to do something exceptional this election, we can provide our community with a new Police facility that will properly serve our community for decades. Let’s move forward as a community and equip our officers with the tools they need to effectively do their jobs. I am showing my support on Election Day and encourage you to do the same. Join me in voting “yes” on Measure P.
