Central fails at college prep

Central High School does not prepare students for college. College is an important part for many students lives and it’s the next step into the real world for many.

Other schools offer ACT and SAT preparatory classes to help their students, Central does not.

Other schools have frequent one-on-one time with their counselors talking about college, Central does not.

Other schools pay more attention to their students education, Central does not.

For instance, awhile back, a man come into my leadership class and asked if we wanted to redo a mural in the gym. My leadership class and I disagreed; we told the man we felt it was more appropriate to spend money on ACT and SAT prep classes rather than redoing a mural. They did not take what we said into consideration and the mural is now painted but, no ACT or SAT prep classes.

Also, I didn’t have a talk about what I should be doing to prepare for college until my senior year. Doesn’t that seem like a problem to you? It’s disappointing as a student to see other schools provide college preparation while Central does not.
