Surprise! Goodness reigns in Fresno
I would like to comment on the goodness of people, namely the young man at Takumi Restaurant on Nov. 1, who was a customer along with us.
My husband and I went to that restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. There were only the three of us at the teppanyaki cook table and the gentleman cooking asked if there was anything we were celebrating. We said yes, our anniversary, and he put lighted matches on our rice dish and, of course, we all had a good laugh.
There was not much conversation; we all just ate. The young customer at our table wished us well when he left. When we were ready to leave, the waitress said our bill had been taken care of by that young man.
We hope he reads this and knows that we not only were surprised but greatly pleased by that goodness. I hope we will be able to “pay forward” that act of kindness. With all the happenings in the world now, I am very grateful that there are kind and generous young people in our society.
