‘We are losing our country’
Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, Jill Stein, Gary Johnson, it doesn’t matter who we vote for: we are losing our country.
I’m reminded of an Ayn Rand statement: “We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission …the stage of rule by brute force.”
What shall we then do? Roll over and quit or man up and fight?
Winston Churchill once said, “If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”
