National anthem makes me proud
As I listened to the national anthem being beautifully sung before the first game of the World Series, my eyes welled up.
See, I know and understand the song. It is all about our flag: The battle in which it was under attack and was able to make it through the night. Yes, tattered and torn but still flying. The bombs bursting lit up the sky and proved throughout the night that it was still flying.
And it is still our American symbol. Flying proudly with the red, white and blue, o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
It is a beautiful song and lyric. I am proud and moved every time I hear it. God bless America.
