Booze, barbers is a ‘crazy idea’

There are so many legitimate reasons for citizens to be concerned about the health and safety of our people.

Serving alcohol in movie theaters, barber shops, etc., is a crazy idea not well-suited for those who have little or no common sense or self-control. While I do not believe in legislating personal behavior and choices, I believe this is another “right” which will be abused to the extreme.

When there is a lack of respect for boundaries and borders, and a belief in the right of instant self-gratification without regard for others and how it can negatively impact lives, it just feeds immature, destructive and selfish behavior.

Alcohol is a drug – a dangerous, mind-altering drug, and we should be thinking of ways to curb its use, not encouraging and enabling its use. Remember the old adage “Give an inch, and they’ll take a mile.”
