Stop with the clichés already
After the Nov. 8 election, can the public insist on a ban on further use, by politicians and pundits, of the following words or phrases:
“Double down, full-throated apology, fixed, narrative, pivot, dog whistle, walk back a statement, rigged, surrogates, P-Gate, pay for play, quid pro quo, lock ’er up, email servers, Pepe, Alt-Right, meltdown, unfit, and, last but not least, groper and groping”?
We all need a break.
Lloyd Carter, Clovis
