Playing ‘what if’ game with weed
I have been reading the pros and cons of Proposition 64 legalizing recreational marijuana. Recently, driving down Highway 99 from Sacramento, I was surrounded by semi-trucks. I started wondering how many drivers would use marijuana if legal and be on the road with me.
What if my surgeon after a difficult case went out for a marijuana break and I was the next patient?
What if my child’s teacher used recreational weed and then taught?
What if my pharmacist filling my prescription would start using and then fill the prescription?
How about the school bus driver with all the kids on board?
What about the senators and legislators making decisions after inhaling?
We know the effects of this product. Would our police officers or judges be so laid back no law and order could be achieved?
It is not a moral decision for me but one of safety. Plug in any occupation and ask, would it be safe for me and my family? There may be rules in place governing use but remember the saying, “Rules are made to be broken.”
