Sell presidency to highest bidder

It seems that no matter how hard Donald skunk sprays, the polls indicate that Hillary just can’t get that 50-point lead.

It was supposed to be a landslide, uniting the country behind her so she could continue business as usual, and keep the war contracts flowing, and the fossil fuels burning, to generate all those beautiful profits.

Poor Hillary! Wall Street gave her the nomination as promised, but Hillary just can’t win enough trust to beat the guy in the clown suit. He has had to behave and speak even more outrageously. He’s like a prize fighter pledged to take a dive who has to try to knock himself out.

After the death of the Roman Emperor Nero, the Praetorian Guard openly auctioned the throne to the highest bidder.

Why bother with a fake election, a scripted and staged political show? The only ones fooled will be the morons and drunks in the cheap seats, who never even bother to watch the performance unless it involves sex or violence.

As they used to tell us in the army, “Bend over, stick your head between your legs, and kiss your ... self, good bye.”

The republic has fallen.
