Sorry, Trump, you can’t fire America
America is like a huge ship, and if you place the wrong person at the helm, it can be stirred into rough waters, or worse yet, into an iceberg.
Donald Trump is trying to scratch and claw his way to the helm. Does anyone believe if there was only one life boat, he wouldn’t take it for himself, leaving the women and children to go down with the ship? Then he would tell us how smart he was for getting the only life boat.
What we need is strength, not posturing, sound decision making, not boasting. Trump is interviewing for a job, and we the American people are the employer. If he conducted himself in any other interview the way he is doing running for president, he would never be hired.
His unscrupulous nature is not what America stands for nor what we believe in. His lack of character is troubling.
America is the boss, Trump cannot say to us, “You’re fired.” We don’t have to hire him. He does not have the job yet, let’s keep it that way!
