Ashjian: ethics beyond reproach
It is with great skepticism that I learn of allegations of a questionable origin against Brooke Ashjian. I find the timing of the allegations extremely suspect given the very vocal and proactive voice Brooke has brought to bear on the inner workings of the Fresno Unified School District
Although I cannot speak to the internal district politics, I can speak to the integrity of Brooke. I am proud to say I have counted Brooke as a friend for many years. Our children were raised in the Bullard community, and I have personally witnessed the fair, open-minded and even-handed way he has dealt with both personal and professional situations.
He is a man of strong moral fiber whose ethics and integrity are beyond reproach. His love and concern for all students in the Fresno community is second to none.
It would certainly serve the citizens of Fresno to look beyond the initial headlines and ask themselves the simple question: “Who or what is driving these allegations and why?” The answer should be obvious to all and a surprise to no one.
