‘Stupid’ Congress puts U.S. at risk
There is stupid and then there is really stupid.
Our Congressional representatives just overrode a veto of our president, which now allows family members of the 9/11 disaster to sue Saudi Arabia for the deaths of their family members. This political correctness action opens a can of worms.
When we foolishly invaded Iraq, we caused the needless deaths of more than 1 million people. Based upon what our congressional leaders have just done, we should expect millions of claims by Iraqis for the wrongful killing of their family members.
The U.S could then face claims from Afghanistan, Syria and other countries where our forces have killed civilians. This could bankrupt the U.S.
