Can ‘passive’ Clinton be trusted with nukes?

After reading a letter in The Bee titled “Don’t trust Trump with nuclear codes,” I wonder just what Hillary Clinton would do.

From what I’ve read, a commander-in-chief would have mere minutes to decide how to handle a viable threat. If you don’t push the button and we’re in imminent danger, it would be catastrophic for the United States. If you push the button too soon, it could mean World War III.

Clinton makes it clear we should fear Donald Trump with that power, but I fear her with that power also. She seems unfocused and somewhat passive. Would she wait too long to initiate any retaliation in the face of a threat? That could also be catastrophic.

Trump may be outspoken because he truly loves this country and wants to protect it. That doesn’t mean when faced with a critical decision that we should assume he would take any chances. No matter who is elected to office, the power to launch nuclear weapons is in their hands. We have to trust that if they ever get that call, they would be able to make such a critical decision in just minutes.
