Vote Thomas for school board

As a special education teacher for 40 years, I had the privilege of working with Barbara Thomas, Fresno County Office of Education School Board President, who is running for re-election.

I have experienced first hand the tremendous progress made in educating students with special needs as we prepared them to make significant contributions to our community and lead quality lives. When I look at the services and funding now available to our schools, I realize the driving force that made it all possible.

It was Barbara Thomas. She stands out as the one who was willing to tirelessly go the extra miles (including many trips to Sacramento), often stepping out of her comfort zone and exceeding her job expectations, to be the voice of those who could not speak for themselves. It is because of Barbara’s efforts that Assemly Bill 602 and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, which provided funding and services for our special education population, became a reality.

Read Barbara’s visions and qualifications on her website (www.barbarafthomas.com) and see for yourself that a vote for Barbara is a vote for experience and action.
