What kind of Christian is Castiglione?

According to a recent Bee article, Matt Castiglione, vying for a seat on the Clovis Unified school board in upcoming elections, believes that supporting transgender students would be against his Christian faith. It is amazing. I thought being a Christian meant a person of faith and grace, one who embraced all mankind. Even those who trespassed against us. Perhaps I was misinformed.

Now turning to science. In this nation, with more college graduates than an exceptional few other nations, it is amazing that evidence produced by the human genome project has yet to penetrate the learned here.

Since early 2000, scientists collaborating worldwide determined the biological differences between all humans is less than 1/2 of 1 percent. 99.5 percent of a transgender person is the same as you and me. This is what I choose to teach my children and grandchildren.

Search “genomics” the study of human genes to learn more.
