Vote Brand for mayor of Fresno
Under Lee Brand’s leadership as councilman of District 6, he has helped the city on so many levels to move the city forward and to keep it from bankruptcy. He has a lot of experience in collaborating with others in city government, and he has close to 40 years as a successful businessman and job creator.
Some of the legislative acts he has helped to pass are:
▪ The Better Business Act requires the city to conduct due diligence like a bank if someone wants the city to give them a large amount of money such as Granite Park. Since this passed in 2009, no one has applied to the city for money.
▪ The Streetlight Funding Act provided a plan to pre-emptively encase in concrete over 20,000 streetlight ground pull boxes, keeping copper thieves away and lighting up our streets. I could list another 17 acts, but The Bee word limit for letters does not allow the space.
I have not noticed any significant accomplishments by Henry Perea. He is a career politician for 24 years with no experience working in the private sector.
If you want a mayor that will responsibly move our city forward, vote for Brand.
