Taking the low road to highway construction

Californians already suffer from one of the highest fuel taxes in our nation. Somehow, the condition of our roads and highways ranks very low nationally.

Now our legislators want to increase use fees and taxes per gallon so they can bring our roads up to par with Oregon, Nevada and Arizona, where the roads are miraculously made better with less money. Huh?
