More than 2,300 people in Fresno were without electricity Wednesday as rain fell in the city, with most outages concentrated around the Tower District and near Fresno City College.
Pacific Gas and Electric Company reported 2,359 customers in that area without electricity just after 5 p.m., with power expected to be restored by 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.
The company also reported outages in a handful of other locations throughout Fresno, affecting between one and 50 customers in each location. Power is also expected to be restored in those areas on Wednesday night.
PG&E also shared a safety warning, advising residents to avoid and report any downed power lines.
