On Thursday at 10:38 a.m. an updated lake wind advisory was issued by the NWS Las Vegas NV valid for Friday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. for San Bernardino County-Upper Colorado River Valley.
The NWS informs, "South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph expected."
"Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft," adds the NWS. "Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects. Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft."
This advisory is in effect until Friday at 8 p.m.
