Fire weather watch in place for Surprise Valley California and Eastern Lassen County for Friday

A fire weather watch was released by the NWS Reno NV on Tuesday at 2:17 p.m. valid for Friday between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. for Surprise Valley California and Eastern Lassen County.

"The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a Fire Weather Watch for thunderstorms and strong outflow winds, which is in effect from Friday morning through Friday evening," states the NWS.

This watch is in effect until Friday at 11 p.m.
