Lake Tahoe under a lake wind advisory Monday - gusts could peak at 35 mph

On Sunday at 9:22 a.m. the NWS Reno NV released a lake wind advisory valid for Monday between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. for Lake Tahoe.
The NWS informs, "Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph and waves 1 to 3 feet for Lake Tahoe."
"Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve," states the NWS. "Check lake conditions before heading out and be prepared for a sudden increase in winds and wave heights. Consider postponing boating activities on the lake until a day with less wind."
This advisory is in effect until Monday at 11 p.m.
