Will Fresno area wring some rain from cloudy skies? Here’s the latest forecast

weather update

Once again dense fog blanketed much of the Fresno area Monday morning, prompting the National Weather Service to issue an advisory for areas along Highway 41, Highway 43, Highway 180, Highway 99 from Madera to McFarland and Highway 198 from Lemoore to Visalia.

As the day progressed, the area found itself cool and dry, with temperatures two to four degrees below the seasonal norms.

The average daily temperature (highs and lows) for Fresno in November is 55 degrees.

Those temperatures are expected to return to normal over Tuesday and Wednesday, when the high in Fresno could reach 72 degrees. There is a slight chance of rain north of Fresno County on Thursday, as another frontal system moves across Northern California, but that will be followed by stronger high pressure for the weekend; so dry weather and above normal temperatures for early November, the Weather Service said.

The region could see another chance of rain as early as Monday or Tuesday of next week, according to the Weather Service. Some models show rain into Northern California on Monday with a weakening storm front moving into Central California shortly after.
