ECB will continue to be proactive in fight against high inflation, Lane says

LONDON - The European Central Bank will continue to be "proactive" in its fight against high inflation, which is currently expected to stay well above its 2% target for a year, chief economist Philip Lane said on Tuesday.

"We will continue to be proactive in monetary policy in line with how the risks evolve," Lane said in an interview at the Reuters NEXT Europe conference.
