Taiwan raises 2026 GDP growth outlook to 9.64%
TAIPEI - Taiwan's economy is expected to expand 9.64% in 2026, the Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics said on Friday, raising its outlook from a previous estimate of 7.71%.
Gross domestic product expanded by a revised 14.55% in the first quarter year-on-year, compared with a preliminary reading of 13.69%, its fastest pace in nearly four decades, it said.
